We all like to hear about mysteries but this mystery
may be a little different from the series of mysteries we have heard so far.
But I definitely hope all of will like it.
On January 4,2015, the researchers at the Czech Institute of Egyptology (CIE) found the tomb of the Unknown Egyptian Queen near the pyramid necropolis of Pharaoh Neferefre who was an ancient Egyptian pharaoh of the Fifth Dynasty during the old kingdom period. He was the eldest son of pharaoh Neferirkare Kakai and queen Khentkaus II.
The tomb was discovered in Abu Sir , an extensive necropolis of
the Old Kingdom period, together wuth later additions in the vicinity of the
modern capital Ciaro. The name of the Unknown Egyptian Queen was believed to be
Khentkaus III and it was also believed that she was the wife of pharaoh
Neferefre. She lived in this world before 4500 years ago.
The Anitiquities Minister of Egypt Mamdouh Eldamaty said that, there had
been no knowledge of the existence of Khentkaus
III before this discovery. She was called as Khentkaus III as two previous queens with the same name have already been
identified. The name and rank of Khentkaus was inscribed on the walls of the
tomb, probably by the builders, Mr Al Damaty said.
It was believed that Khentkaus III was the wife of pharaoh Neferefre and the mother of Pharaoh Mekahur. Statuettes and twenty four travertine utensils, along with four copper utensils were founded in the tomb and this tomb belongs to middle of Fifth Dynasty.
Once she was incredibly a powerful women
but now she is little more than an enigma.
